1) Overview
This manual explains the complete onboarding process using the latest flow:
onboarding starts from the landing page and account creation uses email verification.
Phone verification is currently temporarily bypassed until SMS API configuration is completed.
Business rule: email OTP is mandatory to create the account. Phone OTP re-enable will be controlled after provider/API procurement and setup.
2) Step-by-Step Onboarding
Step 1 - Open the landing page and start onboarding
- Open https://jestpos.com.
- Click Start onboarding in the hero action row.
- The onboarding URL is routed through https://signup.jestpos.com.
Screen: Landing page hero with onboarding CTA.
Step 2 - Fill account details on the Create Account tab
- On the right panel, use Create Account.
- Complete: First name, Last name, Business name, Plan start mode, Country, Currency, Timezone, Workspace Name (if required), Email, Phone, Password, and Confirm Password.
- Phone field should prefill with country dial prefix once country is selected.
Screen: Signup/Create Account form.
Step 2b - Sign In screen vs Create Account screen
Which one should I click?
Click Create Account if this is your first time setting up JestPOS for your business.
Click Sign In only if your workspace and user account already exist.
- Sign In is for users who already have an account and want to access their workspace.
- Create Account is for new businesses setting up a workspace for the first time.

- Users can immediately navigate after login while phone verification remains temporarily bypassed.
Step 5 - Temporary phone verification bypass policy
- Phone-gate popup is currently disabled for onboarding continuity.
- Accounts can complete full navigation immediately after login.
- When SMS API is ready, phone verification can be re-enabled from the app logic.
This bypass is temporary and intended only until a reliable SMS verification provider is configured.
3) Error Handling and Troubleshooting
3.1 SSL/Hostname errors
If users see certificate/privacy warnings, use the onboarding hostname configured with valid TLS.
Screen: Example certificate/hostname mismatch warning.
- Preferred onboarding entry: https://signup.jestpos.com
- Signup page (neutral host): https://signup.jestpos.com/login.html?tab=signup
3.2 Common signup failures
- Email already registered: user should sign in instead of creating a new account.
- Password mismatch: confirmation must exactly match password.
- Email OTP expired: resend and use the latest code.
- Phone OTP not received: account can still be created; verify phone after login.
4) Admin Verification Checklist
- Landing page CTA is visible and points to signup hostname.
- Create Account tab and fields render correctly.
- Password confirmation validation works.
- Email OTP alone can create account.
